A pair of local goalies - Pembroke's Brian Foster and Concord's Jon Tuttle - were honored yesterday by their respective college conferences for outstanding play last week.
Foster, a senior at the University of New Hampshire, was named Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week. It's the third time in his career he's earned the honor. Foster stopped 55 of 60 shots over the weekend as UNH went 1-0-1 against Boston University. He posted a .917 save percentage and a 2.40 goals-against average.
Tuttle, a senior at Franklin Pierce University, was named Northeast-10 Goaltender of the Week. He stopped 46 of 49 shots in two appearances with a 1.63 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage, playing the final 50:13 in relief against Worcester State, then earning the win against Stonehill.
