The Brewster Academy girls' soccer team earned its second New England soccer title in three years on Sunday with a 2-1 win over Groton School to win the NEPSAC Class C title. The undefeated Brewster team earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament, and knocked off Pingree School and the Wheeler School en route to the final. Brewster also earned the title of Lakes Region League Champions, a title it has defended for the past three years.

Youth hockey

Lewiston capitalized on mistakes and took over by the third. Concord goals were scored by Colin Chase and Alex Nangle, with assists to Thomas Burns and Liam O'Brien.

• The Concord Eagles Club PeeWee 3 got off to a slow start before stepping up against the Greater Lebanon Storm. The Capitols put nine tallies on the board against a very tough Storm goalie. Patrick Quinn got the win in net.

• The Concord Eagles Club PeeWee 3 Capitals beat Henniker, 2-0. The Capitals outshot Henniker 25-7 but were only able to get two past the Huskies goalie. Matt Norris scored the first goal for the Capitals, assisted by Patrick Quinn. Ryan Quinn added an insurance goal. James Zeblisky posted his third shutout of the year. Brennan Malone, Jack Decormier and Chris Mead had strong games on the blue line. The Capitals had a strong penalty kill, eliminating five Henniker power plays.

• The Capital Center for Oral Surgery, Concord Capitals Bantam 1 team swept three games over a contingent of Vermont teams. Game 1 was a 4-0 win over St Albans. Austin Erickson scored two goals with Shaun Cavallaro and Matt Gudas adding a goal each. Connor Simpson recorded the shutout in goal and Colby Fortin anchored the defense. Concord came up big in Game 2 with a 10-1 victory over Harwood. Mitch Hayes led the scoring with three goals while Matt Murray and Harrison Murphy scored two goals apiece. John Clary chipped in with a goal and played well on defense. Concord rounded out the weekend with a 9-4 win over CSB. Defenseman Mike Shea, Hunter Berke and Mitch Hayes all scored two goals. Patrick Gallagher was solid on defense.

• The Capital Area Dentistry PW2 Capitals lost 4-2 to Agawam in Valley League action. Although the Caps turned the pressure up in the third and clawed their way back to a 2-2 tie on goals by Alex Marceau and Mike Angarella, they could not get the go-ahead goal.
