LAWRENCE, Kan. - A Kansas football player says Coach Mark Mangino has been an inspiration in the way he has handled himself while the university investigates his alleged mistreatment of players.

The investigation by assistant athletic director Lori Williams was still under way yesterday as the Jayhawks prepared to meet archrival Missouri on Saturday in Kansas City. Mangino says he has received messages of support from people all over the country.

Safety Darrell Stuckey, one of the Jayhawks' top players, says he's been inspired by the way Mangino has dealt with the pressure and turmoil.
