The Art: "All American" by Robin Frisella

The Exhibit: An Apple a Day

Where to See It: The East Colony Fine Art Gallery, Commercial Street, Manchester, Dec. 1 through 24, with an opening reception Friday, Dec. 4, from 5 to 8 p.m.

An Apple A Day will feature a simple yet elegant collection of still-life paintings, each including Frisella's signature apples. A lifelong artist, Frisella quit her job to pursue art full time in 2005.

She sells her vivid pastels at outdoor venues across the country and runs Frisella Fine Art Studio in Candia, where she teaches two classes a week. Her work will soon be on display at the Copley Gallery in Boston. The East Colony Fine Art Gallery is open Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 621-7400 or visit eastcolony.com.
