PSU results

Junior Amanda Kania posted a double-double with a game-high 26 points and 11 rebounds as the Plymouth State University women's basketball team defeated Castleton State College, 67-43. PSU remained undefeated (4-0) on the young season, while Castleton had its record evened at 2-2.

• Senior Jason O'Keefe scored a game-high 21 points as the PSU men's basketball team defeated Castleton State College, 76-59. O'Keefe, who made 8 of 15 shots from the field, including 3 of 7 from 3-point range, was one of five Panthers to reach double figures in the scoring department.

NHTI results

The New Hampshire Technical Institute men's basketball team fell, 93-75, to defending YSCC champions U-Maine Augusta. Besfort Syla had a monster night for the Lynx, putting up 27 points. Martin Olivier added 11 points and 14 rebounds.

• The NHTI women's basketball team (2-6) picked up its second win of the season by downing U-Maine Augusta, 46-43. Ashley Harris paced the Lynx with 15 points and 10 rebounds. In addition Kaylee Towle netted 12 points.

Colby-Sawyer results

The Colby-Sawyer women's basketball team dropped a 66-60 decision to Suffolk University. Colby-Sawyer senior Terri Duffy became the 11th women's basketball player to eclipse the 1000 career point's mark in the loss. The accomplishment came at the 5:07 mark of the second half when Duffy connected on a 3-pointer, putting her at 1,002 points for her career.

Indoor softball results

Team Delta Dental started the indoor season with a 10-9 victory over Ed's Team. Steve Gagne was the winning pitcher and Diane Laramie drove in the game-winning run.

Officials needed

The Concord Recreation Department is looking for officials for our upcoming basketball season. Games are played on Fridays and Saturdays. Contact 225-8690 and ask for Karen.

Cannon ski trip

Concord Recreation will leave for Cannon Mountain from Everett Arena on Dec. 22 at 7 a.m. and will return approximately at 5:30 p.m. Participants need to bring their own equipment. Cost for residents is $50 and $65 for non-residents. The cost includes price of transportation and lift ticket. Deadline to register is Dec. 16.
