Is your tax refund lost in the mail? The Internal Revenue Service is trying to locate New Hampshire taxpayers owed more than a total of $283,000 in refunds. Checks are due people in all 10 counties, with an average refund of $911.

Undelivered tax refunds can be claimed online at irs.gov by selecting the Where's My Refund? feature or calling 800-829-1954.

The IRS says it has checks for 16 households in Concord, one in Alton Bay, one in Center Harbor, one in Gilford, four in Meredith, one in New Hampton, four in Tilton, two in Bristol, three in Hillsboro, two in Weare, one in Andover, one in Bradford, one in Canterbury, one in Contoocook, two in Epsom, one in Loudon, two in Newbury, one in North Sutton, one in Suncook and one in Warner.
