'Take-A-Hike': The Expedition Inspiration Fund for Breast Cancer Research will hold its New Hampshire "Take-A-Hike"Oct. 10 at Mount Major, with registration at 9 a.m. and the hike at 10 a.m. The registration fee is $20 in advance or $25 after Monday. Dance lessons, for ages 3 through grade 7, Mondays. Lessons in tap, ballet, creative movement and jazz are available.
"Getting Jiggy With It," for grades 7 through 12, Fridays from Oct. 1 through Nov. 12 from 5 to 6 p.m.
"Learn to Draw," for ages 8 to 13, Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Brush and leaf disposal: The Brush Dump on Allen Road will accept cuttings no longer than 4 feet with a diameter of no more than 5 inches thick. The dump is open Saturday, Oct. 9 and Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call the Department of Public Works at 228-2207.
