Small business is getting eaten alive by significant increases in health insurance premiums. Most jobs are created by small business. When small business cannot expand or even survive because of unbearable costs, the whole economy suffers.

What is going on with the basketball schedules for Laconia schools? Who keeps changing the times of the games nearly every week ?

I am asking the parents of Weare to support the teachers who educate their children.

In this time of tight budgets, is this the time to spend months to rip up Main Street by widening the walks and reducing the traffic lanes? Will the merchants recoup enormous losses? Such an upheaval could destroy the businesses there who would have to close or leave. The sidewalks are not now crowded, and parking and the traffic flow are adequate. Has the city government talked to the merchants on Main Street? How close to reality in city hall is this misguided idea? Concord can spend our money more wisely!

When I saw Pfc. Marc Decoteau's procession in Concord on Friday, I had tears streaming down my face. It was heartbreaking to know how young he was.

Re the Tea Party convention news coverage: Why is so much being made of a convention attended by 600 people? Why are conventions to the left of center, such as last year's Veterans for Peace convention in Maryland, not given press?
