Is the public aware that the U.S. House of Representatives held a moment of silence on Friday to honor Michael Jackson? This is a sad commentary and a slap in the face to the men and women in our armed forces dying on foreign soil for our country.

I sit here in disbelief and with a heavy heart that this is what our country has come to. He was an entertainer, a man who paid his way to get out of trouble and was mentally troubled - yet the House of Representatives honors him?

Sad. Very, very sad.
