Winchester becomes Pickletown, U.S.A., this weekend at the annual Pickle Festival.
The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, features everything from frog jumping and cucumber decorating contests to hayrides, a magic show, food and plenty of activities and games for kids. There's also the traditional pickle judging, and, of course, free pickles.
Entertainment highlights include the parade at 10 a.m., the Nelson Town Band at 11 a.m., magician Ben Pratt at noon, The Annies Puppeteers and the Village Cloggers, both at 1 p.m., and The Backroad Band from 2 to 4 p.m.
Children's games will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the ELMM Community Center, followed by the Weathered Road Band from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the center.
It all ends with an Atlas Fireworks show at 8:30 p.m.
