New Hampshire's Democrats in Congress are urging Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to spare a New Hampshire passport center that's scheduled to close this week.
Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and U.S. Reps. Paul Hodes and Carol Shea-Porter are asking Clinton to review a contract that moved the work from the National Passport Information Center in Dover. The center has more than 300 workers.
The Communications Workers of America has filed a complaint with the State Department on behalf of center employees, questioning the new contract.
Shaheen, Hodes and Shea-Porter, joined by Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, asked Clinton to keep the center open and investigate the new contract.
Where did the contract move to and can these employees travel to the new location?
