Two people have been charged with possession of heroin in Boscawen after a non-lethal overdose last week led the police to an undetermined amount of the drug and paraphernalia in the house.
John Davis, 24, of Warner was found unresponsive in the bathroom at 2 Berle Drive in Boscawen about 7:30 Monday morning after the police were called to the house for a reported overdose. An officer allegedly spotted drug paraphernalia in the same bathroom, which prompted the police to get a search warrant. An undetermined amount of heroin, hypodermic needles and other paraphernalia were found, according to Chief Sean Sweeney.
Davis was charged yesterday with possession of a narcotic after turning himself in to the Boscawen police, who had issued a warrant for his arrest when he was released from Concord Hospital Tuesday. Davis also had an electronic bench warrant through Concord District Court, Sweeney said. Bail was set at $3,000 personal recognizance for the drug charges, and two arraignment hearings are scheduled.
April Clark, 35, of 2 Berle Drive, was charged Monday with possession of a narcotic drug. She was on probation for a forgery conviction at the time of the arrest, Sweeney said. Clark was transported to the Merrimack County House of Corrections and released through pretrial services on personal recognizance at a bail hearing Thursday, Sweeney said.
