The police are searching for a state prison halfway house inmate who did not return last night after leaving for an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Francis Gay, who is serving 18 years to life for murder, left the North End Halfway House in Concord just before 7 last night, authorities said.
Gay was was imprisoned in 1989 and would have been eligible for parole in July.
He is 43, stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 200 pounds, according to the New Hampshire Department of Corrections.
He was last seen wearing tan shorts, a short-sleeved shirt, and white sneakers.
