Separate entities, RICHARD TOMASSO, Nashua - Letter

In their April 10 SundayMonitor Capital Beat column, "Benson (remember him?) jumps into the fray," Dan Barrick and Meg Heckman wrote in the final section: "The New Hampshire Liberty Alliance, the lobbying outlet of the libertarian Free State Project."

I thought the Monitor was well aware of the independence of the two groups. While we do share some members, the leadership of both groups is totally separate and we have different missions. The FSP does not engage in direct political activity, whereas the NHLA is involved in the legislative and electoral politics of New Hampshire. The FSP does not direct NHLA activity or have any say in what we do, and vice versa.

If anyone has any questions about the NHLA, you can visit our website (nhliberty.org) and check out the work we are doing for the citizens of New Hampshire.
