Storm slows traffic, closes schools

The overnight snow continued this morning in parts of New Hampshire, slowing traffic and prompting many schools to close after first calling for two-hour delays. The police reported many skidding accidents during the night. Interstate 89 northwest of Concord was a particular trouble spot. Accidents continued during the morning commute.

Many roads in the southern part of the state are wet, and the snow has turned to rain.

Some areas north of the Lakes Region saw as much as 9 inches, with a few more inches possible. There were lesser amounts in the south.
