Brighter holiday season
One of my favorite times of the year is the holiday season. I am grateful for living in a very caring and generous community. I would like to thank the many organizations and residents for making the Thanksgiving and Christmas season so much happier and brighter for many families and our elderly citizens.
I could not do this on my own and would like to thank many special “elves” for making the distribution of food and gifts possible. The Girl Scouts; Boy Scouts; Bow Young At Heart Club; Bow Pioneers; Bow High, Memorial and Elementary schools; Ladies Fire Auxiliary; Celebrating Children Preschool; Crossroads Community Church; Bow Methodist Church; Bow Parent-Teacher Organization; Bow Fitness Program Pay It Forward; Bow Garden Club; PSNH, Bow Youth Center; Bow Men’s Club; Bow Rotary; Bow Recreation; Brite Magic Carpet Cleaning; The Happy Hookers for the beautiful hats, mittens and scarves; and the Capital Region Food Program.
A very special thank you to Andy Young from Young Furniture for delivering the food baskets, which were donated on behalf of the Capital Region Food Program; Bryan Westover for the collection of toys on behalf of the Toys for Tots Program; and Brenda and staff at Merrimack County Savings Bank, Bow branch for coordination of the annual Giving Tree.
Thank you to all who helped to make many residents and their families have a brighter holiday season. It’s a blessing to know that there are so many wonderful and caring people in our town. I wish you the best in 2014.
