Class project enhances Franklin signage
Students from Franklin High School teacher Lauren Pearsall's class started working on restoring three of four welcome signs for the city of Franklin in October. Pearsall and the students were recognized for their efforts at the city council meeting last week. Franklin Business and Industrial Development Corp. director George Dzujna discussed his concern last year at a board meeting about the weathering of the welcome signs for the city of Franklin. The board knew that the signs had been a gift to the city and an Eagle Scout project. Wanting to assist with the effort to restore the signage, the board pledged funding. Dzujna decided to spearhead the project and reached out to Pearsall and her students. Pictured are (back row, from left) Isaias Muniz, Ryan Grevior, Dana Bean and Pearsall and (middle row, from left) Mazie Woodhams, Jacob Geddis and Breanna Styles and (front row, from left) Kaylee Marshe, Giovanni Lemon, Alec Gosine and Sean Hall. Missing are Devin Basha and Jacob Vader.
