Kindergarten information night for parents of children who will be entering kindergarten in September will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Bow Elementary School.

The annual National Association of Letter Carrier “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive will be held May 10.
Granite United Way- Merrimack County Region is partnering with the NALC and the Capital Region Food Program across the region to recruit volunteers for the largest one-day food drive event that helps countless families. Food is picked up at residences across the region, sorted and distributed to local food pantries.
Anyone interested in volunteering for the pick-up, sorting and distributing of the food items should call Val Guy at 224-5295, ext. 226.
Applications for the 2014 Zonta International Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships are available through the Zonta Club of Concord. Women enrolled in at least their second year of an undergraduate business program through their final year of a master’s program are eligible. Priority will be given to applicants who live in Merrimack County.

“Fizz, Boom, Read!,” Concord Public Library’s children’s summer reading program, begins June 23. The program is for children from kindergarten through grade 6.
