Retirement party

An open house to celebrate the retirement of Corporal Bob Arseneault after 25 years of service in the Hopkinton Police Department will be held today from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Hopkinton Town Hall.

WEARE

Grant received

John Stark Regional High School received a $2,890 Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grant for materials to build a portable challenge course for the school’s off-site alternative program. John Stark students will help with the design and building of this portable course. Construction will begin following April vacation.

LACONIA

Documentary

The Invisible People will air on Lakes Region public access television tomorrow at 10 p.m. and Saturday at 9:05 p.m. The program will also be available online through LRPA’s Video On Demand link at lrpa.org. The Invisible People is a documentary highlighting an art and photography project in Laconia and a transitional program in Canaan where those willing to put in the effort can gain new skills that offer a step up and perhaps out of their difficulties.
