Blazing Star Grange will sponsor programs and activities for the youth of its community today at Grange Youth Day at the winter farmers market in Danbury. There will be games, face painting and animal projects. Blazing Star Bistro will offer breakfast food and lunch will be available. Vendor wares will include quilts, wines, chocolates, soaps and beauty products, jewelry, totes, toys, scarves, household soft wears and one-of-a-kind women’s fashions from recycled materials.
The Merrimack County Conservation District is taking applications for its Stanley Grimes Natural Resources scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Pembroke Academy or a graduating high school senior living in Pembroke who has been accepted to a two-or four-year college or university with the intent to pursue studies in agriculture, forestry, environmental science, soil science, wildlife biology, or a related natural resources program.
