Open house

The Loudon Firefighters Association and the Loudon Recreation Department will host an open house May 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Loudon Fire Department, 8 Cooper St. There will be demonstrations, hot dogs and drinks, a bounce house, pictures with Smokey the Bear and more.

The Danbury Country Store is celebrating its first year under the ownership of the children of the couple who owned the store in the 1960s and 1970s. A customer appreciation day/locally made day will be held June 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Artisans and vendors will showcase their products, along with demonstrations, exhibits and food.
