Hopkinton Middle School students win Scholastic Writing awards

A group of six eighth grade students from Hopkinton Middle School went to Plymouth State University to receive awards for the Scholastic Writing Middle High School Voices contest. These students (from left) won the following: Cooper Kimball-Rhines, Honorable Mention for flash fiction entry; JJ Locke, Honorable Mention for flash fiction entry; Sam Needleman, Silver Key for flash fiction entry and Gold Key for poetry; Catherine O'Keeffe, Honorable Mention for poetry; Fiona MacDonald, Silver Key for flash fiction entry; and Somer Bryant, Honorable Mention for personal memoir entry. Addy Bourgelais (not pictured) won a Silver Key for her flash fiction entry, but was unable to attend the ceremony.
