Hopkinton fundraiser

On the morning of May 28, the Harold Martin School community held their first 3Bs Empty Bowls fundraiser to support the Hopkinton Food Pantry. The Hopkinton PTA generously contributed the funds to buy supplies and food for the event.

The art teacher, Kim Emerson, helped each student to create a beautiful empty bowl to donate to the event. Each student (preschool to grade 3) selected a bowl to bring home to remember that there are children who go to bed hungry each night and we all need to think of others. The HMS community served cereal to the children for the event.

There were many helping hands including parent volunteers. Thanks to the contributions from students, families, Hopkinton School District PTA and HMS staff, we were able to donate $787.78 to the Hopkinton Food Pantry. The 3Bs Committee hopes to make it an annual event.
