The Laconia Historical and Museum Society is searching to identify the eldest Laconia resident so that the individual can be “presented” with the Centennial Cane in July. Although the Centennial Cane will be part of the presentation ceremony, the cane will be kept on display at the society’s office at the Laconia Public Library. Those eligible must be a resident of the City of Laconia and must be able to verify their date of birth. If you would like to suggest a potential recipient call the Laconia Historical and Museum Office at 527-1278 or email email@example.com. Last year’s recipient was Rachel Gilbert, born April 28, 1911.
