Special presentation at DAR meeting

Don Wright of New London presented the program “Experiences of a U-2 Pilot” to the members and guests of the Mercy Hathaway White Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at their meeting July 9 at the Tracy Memorial Library in New London. Wright is the husband of the chapter’s librarian, Polly Wright. He spoke about the history of planes and of his missions as a pilot. Wright is pictured here with (left) Merle Dustin, regent of the chapter and (right) Laura McCrillis Kessler, national vice president general and New Hampshire honorary state regent. Kessler was recently elected and installed to this position at Continental Congress in Washington, D.C., and this was her first official visit to a chapter as vice president general.
