Local women have remained friends since 1930s

These four women, Jean Chickering Nardozzi of Pembroke and Hobe Sound, Fla. , Carolyn Tonkin Reed of Keene, Joan Remington Wentworth of Concord, and Joan Trace Riel of Pittsfield - now all 85 or older - first met at the Abbie Tilsley Dance Studio at the Friendly Club Gym in Concord in the early 1930s, where they continued dance lessons and recitals until the late 1940s. After high school graduations, they always kept in touch, even if they were in different locations. Each summer, they continue to get together for lunch and other gatherings.
