Frogs and more

Children’s Day will be held tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon at the Wilmot farmers market and will feature games, face painting, fire fighting vehicles, balloons and more. Lindy Heim will have live frogs from her frog pond, plus her camera to take pictures of children peeking through a frog caricature. Bill Burris will have challenging handcrafted games. Richard King will perform his old-time American favorites. The market will be held rain or shine.

Help with stuttering

A DVD in English and Spanish, Stuttering and Your Child: Help for Parents, is now available. Produced by the nonprofit Stuttering Foundation, the film describes what kinds of stuttering young children may exhibit, how parents can help at home and the role of a speech pathologist in evaluating and treating children who stutter.
