CONTOOCOOK

Rebecca Shatney attended Camp Fully Involved at the New Hampshire Fire Academy in Concord. The resident camp is for young women 14 to 20 years old and is attended by cadets from around the country and Canada. The goal of Camp Fully Involved is to provide young women a safe, dynamic, interactive and physically challenging environment to gain strength and knowledge while building confidence and leadership skills. Some of the candidates are considering careers in firefighting or emergency medical service while others attend for the adventure and experience.

EMILY BOGART received a scholarship from Harris Masonic Lodge No. 91, F. & A.M. She will attend Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vt., this fall.

DUNBARTON

Kyla Gifford, Air Force airman first class and daughter of Patricia Iannazzo, graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.

FRANKLIN

Kayla MallocH received a LEEP Dream Scholarship from the Law Enforcement Education Program. She is pursuing an associate’s degree in criminal justice at NHTI and plans to transfer to Plymouth State University for a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and obtain Emergency Medical Technician certification.

GILFORD

Jay Fitzpatrick, Lakes Region Art Association member, will have his work displayed at Bank of New Hampshire until Aug. 19.

HOPKINTON

ELIZABETH RICE, daughter of Bethann McCarthy and Gary Rice, earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. She recently completed a clinical immersion in pediatrics at Boston Medical Center. She graduated from Elon University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.

Kazuko Okubo, Lakes Region Art Association member, will have artwork displayed at Franklin Savings Bank until Aug. 19.

LACONIA

MARLENE WITHAM, Lakes Region Art Association member, will have her work displayed at Northway Bank until Aug. 19.

BARBARA McClintock, Lakes Region Art Association member, will have her work displayed at Belknap Mill until Aug. 19.

MEREDITH

Josh Brown received the Csendes scholarship for the advanced studies program at St. Paul’s School. He studied “forbidden fictions.” He is a student at Inter-Lakes High School.

Spencer Perreault received the Csendes scholarship for the advanced studies program at St. Paul’s School. He studied ancient Greece. He is a student at Inter-Lakes High School.

Lorraine Gateriewictz, Lakes Region Art Association member, will have her work displayed at Northway Bank until Aug. 19.

MOULTONBORO

Courtney Weeks was promoted to assistant food and beverage manager and sales assistant at the Eagle Mountain House in Jackson. A 2013 business management graduate of Lakes Region Community College, she was featured in the college’s television campaign.

GERRI HARVEY, Lakes Region Art Association member, will have her work displayed at Meredith Savings Bank until Aug. 19.

PENACOOK

Diane Edwards, daughter of Steve and Pati Edwards, will attend Keene State College to study pre-nursing. She earned a licensed nursing assistant certificate in July.

TILTON

MONA SMITH, Lakes Region Art Association member, will have her work displayed at Northway Bank until Aug. 19.

WEARE

Andrew Ducharme, Air National Guard airman and son of Heidi Ducharme, graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.

Paige Charland was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Franklin Pierce University. She is a graphic communications major.

Kerri Enderson was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Franklin Pierce University. She is a psychology major.
