CONCORD

Elizabeth Cassidy, daughter of Faye and James Cassidy, earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing in Baltimore. She is a 2012 graduate of Emory University and has accepted a position in the neonatal intensive care unit at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

Bonnie Farren became the first visual artist to receive an award from the Plan New Hampshire Scholarship and Fellowship Program of the New Hampshire chapter of the American Institute of Architects. She is a visual arts major at NHTI.

Susan Turcotte was honored with an outstanding service award at the National Orthopaedic Technologists annual symposium in New Orleans. She is the founder and program coordinator of the orthopaedic technology certificate and associate degree programs at NHTI.

CASSIDY BOON was one of 17 riders who scored the highest at the New Hampshire 4-H State Horse Show and will represent New Hampshire at the Big E Eastern States Exposition 4-H horse program in September in West Springfield, Mass.

Jessica Newkirk earned a bachelor’s degree with a dual major in sociology and justice studies, and a minor in forensics, from the University of New Hampshire in Durham.

PEMBROKE

Matthew Serafin, Air Force airman and son of Thomas Serafin of Pembroke and Jennifer Lewis of Allenstown, graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.

Kaitlin Smith received the Dr. Robert E. Boucher memorial scholarship from Merrimack County Savings Bank. She is a recent graduate of Merrimack Valley High School.
