Nicole Carbuto and Matthew Kowalik were married May 25 at Saint Aidan’s Roman Catholic Church in Williston Park, N.Y. Monsignor Thomas Costa performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Michelle Carbuto of Griswold, Conn., sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Chelsey Barton of Rochester, N.Y., Rebecca Heller of Boston, Cassandra Mitchell of Concord, sister of the groom, Amanda Przeniczny of Williston Park, N.Y., Corinne Roth of East Northport, N.Y., and Meghan Wellenbrink of Mineola, N.Y., were bridesmaids. Madelyn Mitchell, niece of the groom, was flower girl.
Blaine Phair of Shushan, N.Y., was best man. Sydney Chiu of New York City, Sean Gradowitz of White Plains, N.Y., Corey Mitchell of Concord, brother-in-law of the groom, Andrew Spears of Buffalo, N.Y., Evan Stribling of Fredericksburg, Va., cousin of the groom, and Thomas Suchy of Buffalo, N.Y., were groomsmen. Bo Mitchell, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
The bride, daughter of Alfred and Theresa Carbuto of Williston Park, N.Y., graduated from Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Syosset, N.Y., in 2005, earned a bachelor’s degree in communication disorders and sciences from SUNY Geneseo in 2008 and earned a masters in speech-language pathology from SUNY Geneseo in 2010. She is a speech-language pathologist at City Sounds of New York in New York City.
The groom, son of James and Beverly Kowalik of Pembroke, graduated from Pembroke Academy in 2005, earned a bachelor’s degree in biophysics from SUNY Geneseo and earned a doctor of medicine from SUNY Downstate Medical Center in 2013. He is a pediatric resident at Mt. Sinai in New York City.
The couple took a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, and lives in New York City.
