Fall library hours

Concord Public Library fall/winter hours starting Sept. 3 to April 27 will be Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The library will be closed on Sept. 2 for Labor Day, Oct. 14 for Columbus Day, Nov. 11 for Veterans Day, Nov. 28 and 29 for Thanksgiving, Dec. 25 for Christmas, Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day, Jan. 20 for Martin Luther King, Jr./Civil Rights Day, Feb. 17 for Presidents Day and April 20 for Easter Sunday.


Baby catcher

Sherry Stevens, a New Hampshire certified midwife, will celebrate 25 years of “catching babies” in New Hampshire with a reunion of clients, babies and young adults Sept. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m. at her home on Winona Road in Meredith. All past, present and future clients are invited to attend. Participants are invited to bring birth stories and photos. RSVP to 279-4197.


Scouting for items

Girl Scout Troop 10639 from Sanbornton, Tilton and Northfield is looking for items for a yard sale to be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Daniel’s Artesian Wells on Route 3 (across from the Winnisquam Market). The troop is looking for items such as toys, books, dishes, glassware, jewelry, garden items and knick-knacks. To donate, email or call 524-9256 to make arrangements for pick up of the items. The troop is on a mission to earn $500 from this sale to help fund a planned trip in February.
