A holiday craft and vendor show will be held Nov. 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the New Hampshire School of Ballet, 183 Londonderry Turnpike in Hooksett, to benefit the New Hampshire School of Ballet Booster Club.

Food scouting

The Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts will kick off the annual Scouting for Food Drive Saturday by delivering a flyer with information about the food drive to houses in Hopkinton. The donations will be collected Nov. 9.


Holiday fair

The annual Belmont High School holiday fair will be hosted by the Future Business Leaders of America on Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Belmont High. The parent-teacher organization will host “Santa’s Secret Shopping Experience” at which children can purchase gifts for friends and family and have them wrapped. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be sold by the student groups throughout the day, and the FBLA students will conduct a raffle including handcrafted and holiday items, as well as donations from local businesses.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to local charities for the holiday season. FBLA will also collect food donations.


Recycled art

Greener Hopkinton is sponsoring a “Recycled Art” exhibit at the town library on Houston Drive in Contoocook during November. Area residents and neighbors have re-used discarded materials to make works of art.

Library hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Donations needed

The New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet stores will serve as collection points for donations of nonperishable food items for the New Hampshire Food Bank.

Collection boxes will be available in each of stores in the state through Dec. 31.


Crafters wanted

The Wilmot Community Association is seeking vendors for its annual holiday craft fair to be held Dec. 7 at the New London Outing Club’s Indoor Center, 114 Cougar Court. The cost is $30 for a 6-by 6-foot booth, $35 for an 8-by 8-foot booth. Members of the WCA receive a $5 discount. Vendors must provide their own tables.
