Free for vets
The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, 2 Institute Drive, is giving free general admission to veterans and active military in honor of their service to our country today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
CitySide Grille will offer free breakfast to all veterans today from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tucker Free Library received a $10,000 grant to restore and preserve its stained glass windows. The grant is offered by the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Money for the project comes from revenue generated from the sale and registrations of moose license plates for New Hampshire motor vehicle owners. Work will begin in mid-November.
An informational session on the New Hampshire Medicaid Care Management Program will be held Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. at ATECH Services, 57 Regional Drive, Suite 7, in Concord. This is an opportunity for individuals to learn about the new program, how they enroll in a health plan and what they can expect when the new program begins on Dec. 1.
The speaker will be Mary Cooney, associate commissioner of the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. The seminar is free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. For more information, visit nh.gov/disability or silcnh.org.
