Book discussion to

be held Wednesday

The Friends of the Penacook Branch Library will hold a book discussion Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room of the library. The book chosen for this month’s discussion is The Eye of the Leopard by Henning Mankell. On Jan. 22, the book group will discuss The Glassblower of Murano by Marina Fiorato. New members are always welcome to join.

∎ The Penacook Village Association will meet Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Rolfe House, 11 Penacook St. The agenda and directions are available online at penacook.org. There will be a drawing for a fresh decorated balsam wreath from Marshall’s Florist at the close of the meeting.

Quilters guild to hold

holiday potluck Friday

The Capital Quilters Guild holiday potluck will be held Friday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Havenwood Retirement Center at 33 Christian Ave. Bring your completed stuffed stockings for the Christmas stocking project. ∎ The Friends of the Audi welcome the holidays at the annual open house tonight at 6. Holiday performance to be held at Capitol Center

The Twelve Days of Christmas will be performed at the Capitol Center for the Arts. This family friendly performance features students from the following organizations: Eastern Ballet Institute and its affiliate performing company, White Birch Youth Ballet, Concord Community Music School’s Purple Finches Children’s Chorus, members of the Cabbageheads live music, Timbre African Drummers and Ciel Rouge Moving Company aerial dancers, all portraying every gift from the Partridge in a Pear Tree to the Twelve Drummers drumming! Performances will be held Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12.50-$16.50 and can be purchased by visiting ccanh.com/event/twelve-days-christmas-0 or stop by the box office at 44 S. Main St. Three will be raffles, gifts and a surprise closing event.
