Child screening

Child screening for speech, vision, hearing, motor and learning skills will be held Jan. 30 (snow date of Jan. 31) at Allenstown Elementary School, 30 S. Main St. The screening is administered by an occupational and speech therapist and special educator. The child must live within SAU 53 and be 5 or younger. Supporting nongame

A fundraising effort is under way through the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department’s Nongame and Endangered Wildlife Program to perform new research using nanotag telemetry to learn about the foraging behavior of terns and how it affects their ability to nest and raise young on the Isles of Shoals. Coat drive

The Suncook Valley Rotary Club is collecting clean, new and gently used winter coats to be distributed to those in need through Dec. 31.
