Melissa Buchanan and Ryan Hughes were married Aug. 10 at Castle in the Clouds in Moultonboro. Erik Moody performed the double-ring ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her mother.
Kaylee Raney of Hopkinton, sister of the bride, Emily Wilmott of Webster; Heather Barry of Wakefield, R.I.; Danielle Furness of Henniker; Stef Costello of Henniker; and Steph Stuchlik of Weare were bridesmaids. Jaela Brown of Hopkinton, niece of the bride, and Abbey Hughes, sister of the groom, were flower girls.
Chris Gagne of Webster was best man. Colin Hughes of Concord, brother of the groom; Ian Bragg of Milford; Chris Sanborn of Minneapolis; Sam King of Goffstown; Brandon Graziano of Hopkinton; and Tim Hilton of Hopkinton were groomsmen.
The bride, daughter of Deborah Young of Hopkinton, graduated from Hopkinton High School in 2000 and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology from New England College in 2004. She earned a master’s degree in human services from New England College in 2008 and an associate’s degree in nursing from NHTI in 2012. She is a registered nurse at Concord Hospital.
The groom, son of Patrick and Heidi Hughes of Hopkinton, graduated from Hopkinton High School in 2002 and earned an associate’s degree in paramedic medicine from NHTI in 2006. He is a career firefighter/paramedic for the town of Hopkinton.
The couple took a wedding trip to Marco Island, Fla., and lives in Hopkinton.
