Melanie Asmar and Christopher Conner were married Sept. 1 at City Park in Denver. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Ira Brooker performed the double-ring ceremony.
Angela Kostenko, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Kelley Kugel, Sarah LoMonaco and Lynda Moylan were bridesmaids. Allison and Vanessa Conner, nieces of the groom, were flower girls.
Patrick Conner, brother of the groom, was best man. Peter Asmar, Joel Giese and Mac Liman were groomsmen.
The bride, daughter of Sol and Cathy Asmar of Concord, graduated from Concord High School in 2000 and from the University of New Hampshire in 2004. She is a staff writer at Westword newspaper in Denver.
The groom, son of Cynthia Stevens of Oshkosh, Wis., graduated from Winona State University in 2001 and earned a master’s degree from Colorado State University in 2011. He works for Denver’s Road Home, a
city initiative to end homelessness.
The couple lives in
Denver.
