Jessica Conover and Cameron Brooks were married Sept. 1 at Bandon-by-the-Sea in Oregon. Helen Bailey performed the double-ring ceremony.
Susan Conover of Denton, Texas, sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Evan Brooks of Concord, brother of the groom, was best man.
The bride, daughter of Dr. James Conover and Dr. Teresa Conover of Denton, Texas, earned a bachelor’s degree in marine and freshwater biology from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in biological sciences from the University of Rhode Island. She is in her final year of the Master of Science program in conflict and dispute resolution at the University of Oregon School of Law. She is in private practice as an environmental collaborative policy facilitator and is a graduate intern with Oregon Solutions, a collaborative policy center at Portland State University.
The groom, son of Dr. Roger Brooks and Carol Brooks of Concord, earned a bachelor’s degree in marine and freshwater biology from the University of New Hampshire. He is a marine biologist at the Portland Aquarium in Portland, Ore., and a federal government subcontractor working in the Gulf of Mexico on oyster health surveys.
A trip to Hawaii is planned, and the couple live in Portland, Ore.
