GILFORD – Hopkinton had three goals before last night’s playoff game – hold No. 8 Gilford to 40 points, shoot 25 free throws and outrebound the Golden Eagles. The ninth-seeded Hawks reached one of those goals, but one wasn’t enough. Hopkinton was just 4-for-7 from the line, Gilford had a 33-20 advantage on the glass and the Eagles came away with a 40-29 second-round win.
