FRANKLIN: Open enrollment plan moves forward

Plans to make Franklin the first open school district in the state progressed at last night’s city council meeting. The open enrollment plan, which would allow students from other districts to attend schools in Franklin, was met with support last night. “This is the semifinal step in the process of declaring two of our schools as open enrollment schools,” Superintendent Robert McKenney said last night’s public hearing on the plan. …
