Kimball Pond in Hopkinton was closed Thursday after a film was discovered on the water in the morning. The film was likely caused by the hot weather, a statement on the town’s website announced. “We’re being overly cautious,” said Hopkinton Town Administrator Neal Cass. “It probably is something that’s been caused by the lack of rain and high heat.” It was about 90 degrees in the area Thursday, according the …
