High schools: John Stark girls continue progress with convincing win over Plymouth

Just last year the John Stark girls’ basketball team finished the season 2-16 and missed the playoffs, but now, the young squad is starting to believe in itself. The Generals (4-9) doubled their win total from last season and avenged a loss from earlier this season in one blow, defeating Plymouth, 51-31, on the Generals’ home floor. The win not only avenges a 33-29 loss to the Bobcats (2-11) in late December, but lifts John Stark to 14th-place in Division II, keeping them in the playoff hunt.
