Hopkinton girls cross country team’s reign of dominance ends

MANCHESTER – The pedigree belonged to Hopkinton, but depth was on the side of White Mountains. In the end, the Spartans’ depth proved too much. Seeking an eight consecutive cross country team title, the Hopkinton girls were unseated by White Mountains during yesterday’s Division III championship race at Derryfield Park. The Spartans placed five runners in the top 13 to easily claim the hardware with 45 points.
