The Insiders: It’s time to learn how to solve cases like the people on CSI
At one time or another, we’ve all gotten sucked into a marathon of CSI. Don’t try to deny it because that would be like saying you’ve never eaten straight out of the ice cream container. It’s just not true, although put together they would make for one great Sunday afternoon.
Believe us, we know it’s hard not to become completely enamored with a group of investigators, who use keen detective skills and forensic science to catch the bad guy – and all within the one hour time slot. But now we want to slowly bring you back to reality because as you’ll learn today, that is never the case when it comes to true police work. So if you want to know how it’s done in what we like to call the real world, then Concord Police Officer Ryan Howe is ready to give you the low down.
At 1 p.m., Howe will be in the library auditorium for a forensic science presentation where you can learn to solve cases like a professional. Just think, you’ll be one step closer to figuring out who’s been taking your ice cream all these years. The program is free and open to all ages.
