The Insiders: Time to spruce up your garden for our next (incognito) visit
Sunday is a good day to spend in your garden. And we should know – we’re outside in your garden right now. Just go to the window and, yup, that’s us waving at you. Of course, that’s not really true. We only spend time in your garden when you’re not home. And, lovely as it is, every garden could use a little extra flavor.
That’s where Happy Returns comes in. Liz Hebbel specializes in funky and eclectic whimsical garden art, and she’s having her final open house of the season today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 15 Pine St. in Concord. Hebbel said she “hunts down” second-hand objects, “from junk to vintage treasures,” and repurposes them into “fun and fanciful ornaments for my garden and yours.” There are bird baths, bird feeders, small and large statuary, pedestals and plenty more. No two pieces are the same, and they all have a little flair to them.
Hebbel notes on her website that “some are humorous, some are outrageous, some are charming, some are even tasteful. All are fun and funky and one-of-a-kind.”
So swing by and find something to take home with you. We’ll tell you what we think next time we pass through your garden. For more information, visit happyreturns.biz.
