A public meeting room at the Chichester Library 18 years in the making might soon become a reality. Volunteers were busy yesterday afternoon shifting books from the basement book sale room and moving tattered paperbacks deemed unsellable out the door. With a new ramp leading into the basement space, the library hopes to make part of it into a meeting room for the community. The library will hold an open house for the space Friday evening.
