PHOTO: Preparing for Spring at Concord’s community garden

Robert Whitehead and his son Nate Whitehead worked on Robert's garden plots at the community gardens off Clinton Street in Concord on Thursday afternoon, April 4, 2013. Robert moved to Concord from Richmond, Virginia about three years ago and found the community garden shortly after. "It was one thing that made my day," Robert said. An organic gardener, Robert planted in the fall and was out on Thursday for the first time this season as warm weather is thawing the frozen ground. "It's coming," he said, "But it will be a little while yet."
