The Insiders: Want to learn to make beer at home? Here’s your chance
You might not know this, but today is a big one in the beer world.
Just think about how many people from all over will be drinking their favorite tasty brews, doing their part to keep the business thriving. But that’s not why we’re talking about it. Because really, how is that different than any other day? Well it isn’t, but the fact that today just happens to be the 17th annual American Homebrewers Association Big Brew – a celebration of National Homebrewers Day – is the reason why. And the Concord Area Homebrewers are getting in on the fun.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Bicentennial Square will be transformed into the beer making capital of New Hampshire (Get it? Because it’s taking place in Concord.) with three demos taking place for all to see. On the docket is a Belgian Wit, a Gruit and the third is a surprise. You’ll just have to make your way downtown to find out what else is being brewed for future consumption. It’s your chance to learn how to brew like a professional homebrewer.
And at 7:30 p.m., the Concord Coach Square Dance Club will host its 50th anniversary celebration at the Howard Recreation Center. It’s free and sure to be a dancing good time.
