Area children and their parents gathered at the Concord Public Library for the library’s worm race for kids in Concord on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 8, 2013. Groups of four children at a time placed their worms in the middle of two circles on tables placed outside of the library. The first worm that reached the outer border of the second circle won the race. The race was part of the library’s “Dig Into Reading”, a summer reading program for kids.
