The Insiders: It’s Nutcrackerpalooza 2013
‘Tis the season for a lot of things – snow shoveling, snow plowing, snow punching. Oh, and also the holidays. But did you know it’s also Nutcracker season? You may recall us guiding you toward a production of the show at St. Paul’s at one pointe not too long ago (impromptu stocking stuffer: there’s a dance pun in there for you), and tonight the City Auditorium will host its second variety of the show already this month when the New Hampshire School of Ballet performs at 7.
If you’re not familiar with the nutcracker, it’s a small device that cracks nuts. But we’re told it’s also a beautiful ballet show. We’re going to assume it’s the latter that you’ll see tonight at the Audi, but we don’t want to make any promises. Visit concordcity auditorium.org for more information, or to reserve tickets call 668-5330 or email email@example.com.
Also tonight, D-Comp will be performing at Makris Lobster House at 8:30 (in perhaps the only sanctioned mention of D-Comp in a restaurant environment) and Grace Episcopal Church at 30 Eastman St. will be hosting its monthly community supper at 5, featuring roast turkey with all the trimmings. Donations at the supper will support the Take-A-Tote Ministry, which helps feed Concord’s hungry school children.
